A little bit about me...

Hello! My name is Jade and I am a birth & postpartum doula. I am currently in the process of earning my doula certification through DONA International. A few years ago, I became fascinated by the concept of becoming a doula when a close friend brought this new word to my attention. I have always known that women & infants would be my primary focus when it came to choosing my career, but it wasn’t until recently that I finally decided to pursue my journey as a doula. I am very passionate about holistic wellness and feel that our current healthcare system has a lot of room for improvement, putting pregnancy and childbirth at the top of the list. I feel that the current narrative surrounding labor & birth creates fear and anxiety during what should be one of the most exciting, rewarding experiences women are born to embrace, should they decide to. My mission as a doula is to provide the resources and evidence-based information to allow birthing parents to make more intuitive, educated decisions so they feel more confident in their choices throughout their journey. Additionally, I offer direct support using a rebozo, breathwork, massage and more to help make your experience more comfortable and worry-free.

I heard this quote once & it really resonated with me. It immediately reminded me of my role as a doula and how imperative it is that parents are aware of the options they have, the exception being in the event the mom or baby’s safety is in jeopardy and sufficient evidence proves medical intervention is absolutely necessary.

I have many hobbies & interests, but to name a few, I enjoy yoga, going on hikes with my pup, drinking tea, spending time with friends & family, trying new recipes, practicing tarot, and dancing to good music.
